Tekken Nation Co - Op Review

Ok before I start I just want to say; YES I UNDERSTAND a 2p customization and a proper SFIV like training mode, would have been the better gift by Namco. However I'm not going to bother wasting time on what we should of had, therefore I will focus on what Namco has given us in its downloadable package and what I make of it.

First of all, I just want to say that I was never a particular fan of Scenario Mode. I thought it was a long winded average mode, with a extremely boring story. So come January the 18th, I really didn't have any high expectations to this update.
However after playing for about a week I must say I was mostly impressed. To my suprise the connection quality feels really good, even when playing with some of my American friends who live in a different continent. Sure there can be the occasional slow down, but I did manage to pull of at least 90% of the moves that I wanted.

The gameplay and enemies although they are still the same, are much more fun fighting off when you have a human partner on your side. It felt like I was playing the 90's Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles games on the arcades all over again.
The update has three difficulty levels; easy, medium and hard, each difficulty can be chosen when creating a room, but I must warn you that the difficulty may be deceiving for some. Regardless of the difficulty you chose, you will still be given more than just a challenge. Easy could only really be considered easy when you compare it to the other difficulty levels in the game. All I can say is that if you love a challenge, like me, then you are going to be delighted with Scenario Co - Op.

Although I did say that I have been largely impressed with this update, it is still not without its flaws. The biggest flaw with me about the game, is that there are only 10 levels.  I would have liked to have seen more levels in the game. The second problem I have, is that the levels are just a repeat of the single level's mode. If Namco were only planning on giving us 10 levels only, then I would of liked at least 5 of those levels to be new.

To conclude, I personably think this is a extremely fun mode, and I would like to thank Namco for giving us this update. You must also remember that this update was given to us for free, something that most game companies would have charged us for at least a couple of quid. So yea...fun mode and I defiantly recommend you to give it a good go !
