LIVESTREAM INFORMATION
I typed all of this out on the live stream as it was streaming for you guys.
All "quotes" were speed written and are very close to what they said (or identical).
- The demo showed Paul/Law, King/Armour King, and Jin/Asuka in a test area
--- Four characters on one screen on occasion, there were more team throws
--- You can wall splat and then do an unblockable (two people)
--- QUOTE: "...if the timing's right, you can also escape the tag throws."
-------- They demonstrated this when Paul was throwing King, Armour King came in from the back and kneed him in the back, causing him to drop King. Law flew overhead and whiffed.
- They currently have an idea to make it possible to continue a tag juggle after a wall/floor break
- QUOTE: "...once you press the tag button, it'll automatically switch back and forth."
- Graphics engine is being reworked
--- Environment + character models are being reworked, they showed Jin as an example, which is as follows:

LEFT: Tekken 6
RIGHT: Tekken Tag 2
They also stated that the model was incomplete still and being reworked.
Then they began to answer questions, as follows.
QUESTION: "How does the story fit into the Tekken Universe? Is it canon?"
ANSWER: "Before [K. Harada] answers, he wants to know if anyone remembers the story from Tekken Tag 1? *pause* So uh, people who know the story from Tag 1 will know its not Tekken canon in the main storyline, and there IS a little background story that hasn't been made public. So uh for this time around for Tag 2, we want to have a side story so we don't have all the restrictions..."
Therefore, TEKKEN TAG 2 IS NOT CANON TO THE MAIN STORYLINE, but there will be something akin to a side storyline. They mentioned something about a dream (i.e. the storyline could be a dream of the character/s).
QUESTION: "Any returning dead canon characters if this is a side story?"
ANSWER: "Well uh, if we were to bring back all the characters, we would have 60 or so and that's not possible. We would like to bring back a few though."
No mention of Jun/Michelle/etc.
QUESTION: "In the beginning of that first trailer, we saw a character from the back that looked like a younger Heihachi... Can you give us any hints as to what's up with that?"
ANSWER: "Uh well the only thing he can say is that uh, he can't really say who it is at this point. There is a little background story that we can talk about -- there's the Devil Gene... and there's a factor to that. The characters who have the devil gene don't go bald, but those who do tend to lose their hair. That's all he'll say at the moment."
QUESTION: "Another thing we liked were the mini games, can we expect to see anything similar in this new tag release?"
ANSWER: "...Uh, originally when Harada made the mini games like Tekken Bowling and Tekken Bowl... they didn't think it would be so popular. So its something we're going to think about from now on what to put in."
Hmmm, Bowl anyone?
QUESTION: *missed it, but it was about the release of it*
ANSWER: "Uh, in regards to Tag 2, most people in the states and Europe will get it on the console first when it comes out. No only will you have bonus modes and mini games... We might do somethign to the character line up that's different to the arcade version, like the character line up."
QUESTION: "Practice mode -- other than record mode, what are you planning to add to a single player Tekken Tag 2?"
ANSWER: "We weren't able to have a command capture feature in Tekken 6. We plan to include something in the next Tekken. Not only that but we want to add a tutorial Tag Mode to help everyone get to this [competitive] level."
They also mentioned that they ran out of memory space to have it in or something similar to that.
QUESTION: "About the accessibility of Tekken in general -- as we watch the progression, it seems that the combos seem to get longer. Are you planning to continue with that on the new version of Tekken or are you trying to make it more accessible for newer people?"
ANSWER: "Find a new and interesting way to use the tag element in the combos... So rather than just keep increasing the damage, we'll just find another way to make the tag element more interesting. Its not just an add on, there might be some changes in the combo system that we're contemplating."
AUDIENCE QUESTIONS:
QUESTION: "Why do you hate Ganryu so much? Can you put Devil Ganryu in Tekken Tag 2 so I can win?"
ANSWER: "So uh, often Harada gets this on Twitter/Facebook. He's never ever said that anywhere so, he doesn't know where that came from. He's making the characters himself, why would he make a character that he hates? ...Actually the development team really likes Ganryu. And uh, Harada-san has been telling everyone after we saw the ending movie, Devil Ganryu will make an appearance, but he's the only one on the team who likes that."
QUESTION: "What's the progress on Tekken x SF? Which one should we expect first? What is the team more focused on?"
ANSWER: "Well uh, actually that's not the only two we're working on. TTT2 is our main focus... naturally we're helping out with SFxT. And after that we have TxSF. We still have to decide about the game system, character line up, and we've spoken with the Capcom guys about that once or twice. Not very far at the moment. Not only that but we've got a lot of people out there asking for a new Soul Calibur. He's trying to convince the executives to make another one."
And that's all.
