I'm currently listening to UB40's Kingston Town. Maybe old (probably older than me LOL!) but I love it, my dad used to hang out with skinheads & rude boys when he was a teenager so he likes raggae/SKA music (even though UB40 are raggae not SKA) and alot of his favourite music kinda grew on me throughout my childhood years.
Have a listen, it's one of my old personal favourites:

Favorite Artist:David Bowie He really re-defined music with of course, his first very mainstream album Space Oddity. Even before then, his records were unique and his style set the stage for rip-offs. Who doesn't enjoy their own minion following, waiting for scraps off your table, so they can turn around and attempt to do what you've already done. And fail.
Think I posted it before last year but I can post it again:
Generally I am a big fan of Punkrock and Pop/rock, pop/punk.
My two favorite bands are two german punkrockbands:
Die Toten Hosen (their name literally means "The Dead Pants" which is a german phrase for something dull or boring)
They were founded in 1982 in Düsseldorf and consist of singer Campino, guitarists Kuddel and Breiti, drummer Vom (who is english) and bass guitarist Andi. They have released over 20 albums and played over 2000 concerts. They are considered as one of the most important german rockbands of all time and are also one of the two most popular german punkrockbands of all time. They primarily sing in german but also have some songs (and two albums) that are in english. Next year they celebrate their 30th birthday with a new album, a tour that takes place in their fans living rooms (!) and a big concert at the Rock am Ring-festival (audience: 80.000 people). Their music has helped me through some of the darkest phases of my life. Their first album was "Opel-Gang" in 1983 and their most recent album was the best of-album "All die ganzen Jahre" (All of these years) in 2011. Their last studio-album was "In aller Stille" (In utter silence) in 2008. They also did an Unplugged album for MTV Unplugged called "Nur zu Besuch" (Just for a visit) in 2005 which they recorded in a theater in Vienna.
Die Ärzte (The Doctors)
They were founded in 1982 in the german capital of Berlin and consist of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B. and bass guitarist Rod Gonzalez. All three write and sing in the band. Besides DTH (Die Toten Hosen) they are the most popular and biggest german punkrockband of all time. They split up in 1988 but reformed in 1993. They too have released over 20 albums. A new album and tour will come in 2012 when they celebrate their 30th birthday as well. While DTH are known for rather more powerful and deeper rocksongs, DÄ are known for being more funny (often downright more hilarious than any other band on the planet would even dare to be) with their sound focussing more on being melodic than hard punk but still rock like hell. Their first album was "Debil" (Retarded) in 1984 and their most recent album was "Jazz ist anders" (Jazz is different) in 2007. Like DTH they also did an Unplugged album for MTV Unplugged in 2002 called "Rockn Roll Realschule" (Rockn Roll Highschool - named after the Ramones song) which was recorded in 2002 in a school in Hamburg. They were supported by a full school orchestra and choir on that concert.
I have been a HUGE fan of both bands for 18 years now and been on over 50 concerts from them. I cant live without their music. Its part of my very soul by now. Cant wait for the next albums in 2012.
Besides DÄ and DTH I am also a big fan of Avril Lavigne since 2008. I really love her and her music beyond words. She is like my female counterpart to DÄ and DTH. And apart from punk/rock/pop music I also really love epic, emotional film scores from composers like John Williams , Howard Shore, James Horner, Steve Jablonsky or Hans Zimmer. Also a big fan of Nobuo Uematsu (composer of the Final Fantasy soundtracks) and his works. I also recently got the score for Blood vengeance. great stuff.
Music I heavily dislike is all that teenie-pop like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus etc. as well as hip hop and all forms of hardcore techno (gabba etc.). And traditional music is also probably not really my thing

Everyone listens songs, so share with all of us which is your favourite song and why? Also share the lyrics too.
So me first, right now one of my favourite song is Linkin Parkk's "Waiting for the end" I like the song because of the lyrics are so true....One who is matre enough to understand the lyrics will be impressed i am sure
You will what i mean once u listen the song.
LYRICS This is not the end This is not the beginning, Just a voice like a riot Rocking every revision But you listen to the tone And the violent rhythm Though the words sound steady Something empty's within 'em
We say Yeah! With fists flying up in the air Like we're holding onto something That's invisible there, 'Cause we're living at the mercy of The pain and the fear Until we dead it, Forget it, Let it all disappear.
Waiting for the end to come Wishing I had strength to stand This is not what I had planned It's out of my control....
Flying at the speed of light Thoughts were spinning in my head So many things were left unsaid It's hard to let you go...
(Oh!) I know what it takes to move on, I know how it feels to lie, All I wanna do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what I haven't got
Sitting in an empty room Trying to forget the past This was never meant to last, I wish it wasn't so...
(Oh!) I know what it takes to move on, I know how it feels to lie, All I wanna do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what I haven't got
What was left when that fire was gone? I thought it felt right but that right was wrong All caught up in the eye of the storm And trying to figure out what it's like moving on And i don't even know what kind of things I've said My mouth kept moving and my mind went dead So, picking up the pieces, now where to begin? The hardest part of ending Is starting again!!
All I wanna do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what i haven't got...
This is not the end This is not the beginning, Just a voice like a riot Rocking every revision But you listen to the tone And the violet rhythm Though the words sound steady Something empty's within 'em (Holding on to what i haven't got)
We say Yeah! With fists flying up in the air Like we're holding onto something That's invisible there, 'Cause we're living at the mercy of The pain and the fear Until we dead it, Forget it, Let it all disappear (Holding on to what i haven't got!)
I have highlighted the phrases i like the most, u do that too with ur songs ...
