Street Fighter X Tekken DLC controversy

Thank god I have a modded xbox. Ive got all the characters. I just wished they didnt put that crappy megaman and pacman in the game and replace them with sf/tekken characters.

They're actually pretty fun characters with amusing cutscenes in story mode.

Simply put, I'm not a fan of DLC for only two reasons:

1) I don't have the money necessary to buy multiple things for games that should be unlockable by, I dunno, PLAYING. Or to pay for freakin' Xbox Live.
2) Can't get online with my Xbox in my current residence.

But also, the DLC in SFXT doesn't even interest me much. Gems? Don't need 'em. Costumes? Don't look that cool imo. New Characters? Some of them, cool, others, hell no, all of them, can do without. Except maybe Lei.

As always, I'll be buyin' this used at a lower price, and on the day I have a substantial income to pay for the Xbox Live and DLC... ... I'm still not gettin' that DLC. No sense in paying for something I don't even want.

There is a rumor that Capcom will be throwing in Devil Kazuya and Evil Ryu as free DLC characters to soften the blow of their fiasco.

There is a ton of other stuff in the source, but keep in mind that this is a rumor!

I remember the early leaked rosters had Devil Kazuya and Evil Ryu listed at the very bottom, so I guess capcom was developing them as paid DLC but decided to make them free after the chaos.

As someone who usually waits for ultimate editions of retail games, this is good news for me.

I have never bought a capcom fighter, let alone a SF game before. I hope these gems don't take the fun out of the game. I hear the online's dead so I will have to make the most out of the roster and online.

Let me fix that for you.I'd rather have Devil Kazuya fight Oni or Shin Akuma.Devil Jin is more apporiate for Evil Ryu but that's just my opinion, assuming this rumor ever gets true.

I am going assume Devil Kazuya because kazuya is the original hero, like Ryu is the original for SF.

Hence kazuya getting more facetime in promos over Jin, who was revealed fairly late.

Yes but woudn't that mean that they are realeased without a tag team partner? I mean for Akuma and Ogre I can understand that but Devil(Kazuya) and Evil Ryu? I feel as in they could need a partner, like for Devil(Kazuya)'s partner is Devil Jin and Evil Ryu's partner is, I don't know, Shin Akuma or Oni?
But since it's a rumor that might never come true, let's stay optimistic about it and keep a small eye on it.Now where's that Lupinko or what was his name that leaked the rosters in Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken?

Remember this select screen, back in vanilla, unlocking the characters is required by PLAYING THROUGH THE GAME! The Old Tekken games do also require playing through the game to unlock them, Why not this title? And I do get mixed feelings about DLC in general. Since sometimes it's a good thing since the developers can keep the game fresh and exciting. But the downside is, at times, I don't want to pay twice or 3 times the game that I already own

DLC in general is garbage!! DLC is just a company's way of making more money off of a game by making you pay for unlocking chars rather than just play through the game..one of the reasons why I'm glad I got a PS3 cause It'd be bad enough paying for x-box live let alone paying for DLC that should be unlocked by just playing the game anyway its pitiful really!!
