Am I the only one who's hoping this will be another singles game rather than a Tag one?

We have Tekken Tag 2 for Tag games, and Im hoping so of my faves dont get thrown out this time, for not having an official tag partner

1 on 1 having official Tag partner is bad move...so yeah 1 on 1 is better

Why not just have both? You'd cover a bigger crowd that way.

It's tough to say. Like Muggsamilian said, it would cover a wider fan base if it had both options.

However, it might be nice to have a more "every man for himself" kind of feel to Tekken x Street Fighter. I mean, I like having official tag partners, but as it's been pointed out already, we'll have Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for that. But then again, that's not the same as having the ability to pair your favorite Tekken character up with a cool tag partner from Street Fighter.

I like the 1 vs. 1 but the tag partner is just enjoyable... both.

Actually, the development team should just pull another Tekken Tag 2 Unlimited with this cross-over game. SFxTK has Mugen mode and something, TKxSF with 1v2, 1v1, Pair Play and such features...

More options. And no silly gimmicks. Yeah. I'm all up for another "Tekken Unlimited" with Street Fighter characters, whenever it comes out.

Much like SFxTK is SF4 with tag mechanics and Tekken characters. :noworries

It's not like Namco would have to promote this game as a tag game, but it'd be nice to have the feature either way.

Honestly I think they are going to have to have some kind of Tag mechanic. If only because people are expecting it who played SFXT. Though the choice of 1v1 and 2v2 would be nice.

Unless of course Tekken takes the opposite approach SFXT did and not put a gazillion gimmicks. Nonetheless I wouldn't mind either or. A retouched Tag formula for Street Fighter characters wouldn't be that hard to pull off.

I honestly think that the storyline mode should be 1 vs 1, but in other modes you can choose between Tag or solo like in TUTT2.
I'd also like it if they added Jun and Kunimitsu in this one.... Maybe Jack and Leo too [im_happy}
