Went on Dustloop, Found out it was misstranslated, they are THINKING of making a new Blazblue game, nothing is yet confirmed. But of course, a new game is inevitable!

EDIT: Above is true, but The creator himself just stated a new game is on the way C;

I think I'll pick this up on PSP anyway, so it won't matter that much to me if the EU version of BBCS gets the upgrade a bit late... But then again, if its happenin around the same time, i mite just not bother with the PSP version :P

Either way, i am gettin ma Platinum [mallet]

http://www.dustloop.com/forums/content. ... in-the-USA.

Looks like the USA won't have to wait much longer for CS2! There's no exact date but, this is pretty reassuring.

It's basically what we expect: balance changes, mission mode changes, improved netcode, etc. are free, but Platinum will cost money (though you can fight her online for free).

http://www.aksysgames.com/2011/04/15...ming-this-may/

Press Release:

A patch for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is coming out this May! The patch will contain balance changes to match the arcade version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II AND enable Platinum for purchase at $7.99 or 560 MSP. Hit the jump for the full press release.

TORRANCE, Calif.–April 15th, 2011–Aksys Games, a publisher of interactive entertainment software, is pleased to announce that the hit 2D fighting game for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, will be updated with all new content and bug fixes, taking the system version to 1.03. The data for system version 1.03 and Platinum the Trinity will be available in the month of May.

In this update, the new character “Platinum the Trinity” will be added for players to purchase at $7.99, or 560 Microsoft Points. This game add-on will include all of Platinum’s 24 colors, the Unlimited version of Platinum, and new Achievements/Trophies to unlock as well. Between the gender confusion and cool magical-item-based gameplay, Platinum will be a joy to play for both fans of cute adorable things and hardcore fighting game enthusiasts alike!

Also in this major update, the game balance will be brought up to speed with the arcade version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, including all of the character balance changes, additional system mechanics, and game engine adjustments. This is topped off with brand new Challenge Mode content for each character and a revised Tutorial Mode section to help bring you back up to speed. With all of this new additional content, there’s no better time to get back into BlazBlue: Continuum Shift!

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Update Details

-New character Platinum the Trinity added

-Game balance updated to BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II

I'm so contemplating buying Platinum. I bought Makoto for the heck of it (she's a squirrel <333) just coz I had the $50 gift card from my birthday.

I don't really care so much for Valkenhayn. [shrug]

I hate how patches have to be paid for. They should call it DLC if it's something you have to pay for as patches are free. I would hope they went the Capcom SFIVAE route and gave the option of disc or "patch" option as I much rather own the game. That's actually the reason why I didn't get CS the like I planned to since I heard about the patch/CSII and was hopeful that there would be a disc based version.

The fact they've been giving the PSP and 3DS (and obviously the NGP when it comes) CSII was just annoying to me. Not because I don't want it on handheld but because the console owners only have a patch option and with that being the only option on console, they will also need CS (the outdated version of the game) to even be able to play CSII on consoles. They can't make CSII have a download option for at least PSN if MS has an issue with size or w/e?

there hasnt been any official word about whether the patch itself will even cost or not (though mori [or some other guy from arcsys, cant remember] originally said it was gonna be free. but that wasnt official)

platinum however will be 7.99$

Disc release would be nice. But if the patch really is free i dont see any reason for arcsys to do it for ps3/xbox

The CS board on gamefaqs said that they would charge. Hopefully that isn't the case. Isn't Platinum actually apart of CSII as a standard character?
