he isnt very hard to learn imo
since Tekken 3 i only played Jin and when T6 came out i fell instantly in love with Lars and practised with him whenever i played

well finally i got into this thread too...
Lars took over Lei's place and became my main character in T6, i donno why but he was rly hard for me to learn how to play him (not with button smashing ofc)
And as a girl im rly in love with his looks and his fight style^^

After learning his signature moves I found it easy to put into motion, his strings are like a flowing river.
And as a straight male I'm really in love with his looks and fighting style

I agree with you, its just that it really bothers me to hear that some people complain about this complain about that. and Namco works very hard to make sure the fans get what they want and i can give them credit for it. like they say nothings perfect for crying out loud

Yeah, from some of the things I've heard/read people don't like him mainly for the fact that he "stole" Jin's spotlight like you said. Though, when it's time to change the protagonist a lot of games/shows do this by simply introducing someone new. The same old Mishima feud gets boring after a while and I personally find it refreshing how T6 was more focused on Lars for once.

Though I wish Namco gave us a bit more background on him. I mean, it's fine to have him all mysterious at the beginning of the game, but as you progress maybe give us little tidbits about his past. Still don't even know how the hell Heihachi ended up knocking up Lars' mom xD
