Do tell me what things you would confirm with it's x-button.

Guhh [facepalm] , I mean b-button I was thinking PSP...

Yeah. But the real fun starts if you have a friend coming along ya with a Flute. One goes camping behind the walls and keeps calling the monsters so you can beat the seven scales out of'em while they're stuck at walls themselves.

lol I could only imagine. Too bad I don't have anyone to play with...

Or you can just keep taking a beating, choice is all yours.

I won't gun EVER. BUT, I do enjoy bowing every now and then. I 'll get a better bow set than go at it.

WHAT.

WHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAT. WHAT. EAT A DUNG BOMB. OR TWO. IMBA. ACTUALLY, JUST TAKE THIS ANCIENT POTION.

... mad props for mad gearz. So if we are to lag in MHF, you've got me to blame. : P

LOL unfortuanatly the only thing keeping me back is more RAM and perhaps a better graphics card, but as of right now 4 cores, 4GB RAM and a GTS 250 is well beyond enough to play Frontier's MH2 engine.

Don't worry the lag will be mutual until I get a better router, which will be pretty soon.

If we are to play the game in the long run, then all the trouble and effort will be worth it. I really want to hunt some old gen monsters and some exclusives.

Perhaps my laziness is getting in the way.

Yeah, it can be a bit of a nuisance but luckily we've got so many glorious devices nowadays that have a real-time functioning clock as a primal feature so we wouldn't get too lost in the end.

Do you think I can just get away with keeping my date and time settings? I mean come on, after I get past the initial "Are you a Japanese person, or are you a threat to our very being" check. I doubt they will check again...

Except I actually did not expect that. It was hilarious.

Nyah, our podcast would need a bit more... flare. And if we cannot shoot a Gravios lava beam across the screen, then it's practically worthless. lolvaguereferencesnotmakingsenselikeIcare

I feel like I should know this, but alas I don't.

I can only hope. She's posting elsewhere, so I'm not buying that.

I tried to lie to myself that she was just posting small posts in between her rigorous MHTri and MHFU sessions...

We've filled up some pages just by ourselves, looking pretty grand. If we still stand here by our two-some by the time this thread reaches the 50th page... I am honestly going to be in awe. Celebration?

I was literally thinking the same exact thing. Hopefully by the time this happens we will have various Monster Hunter games to celebrate with.

Did you take a picture of it? Such a sight it must've been. Your hunting is so awesome! Mine's boring, same ol' grinding for ****.

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture. Nah you probably got major stories you are just forgetting them because I honestly post each story within a hour of it happening. [music]

... actually, I'll just leech off my MH Freedom 1 playthrough.

Even though it's been about five months from the playthrough, it still feels like I've taken a trip down the memory lane. I guess the old game created that kind of an atmosphere. The "nostalgia" doesn't feel justified all things considered, but...
*sigh*
I miss my PSP games.

LOL at the video. I HATE HATE when stuff like that happens. I could feel your frustration when that tail whip hit you. DEM HITBOXES.

Man if I was to pop in MH1 right now. It would be glorious. Even more so If I could get back online. RED SERVER FTW.

At least, not until I get a new PSP or Aozame shows up. Try Capcom-Unity, some might do some Ad-Hoc Party.

LordDynasty wrote:I won't gun EVER. BUT, I do enjoy bowing every now and then. I 'll get a better bow set than go at it.

Well that works too. Bows are pretty braindead, but they work. I solo'd a HR6 Crimson Fatalis with a Dragon-type Bow, so it's gotta be worth something.

I've got 4GB RAM too (at least according to the specs of this thing), but I guess not much else. And I'm really hesitant about buying custom parts, I don't want the history to repeat itself with the PSP. T_T

I was more like referring to how you could just check what time it really is from something like your cellphone or something. :noworries

Aaaah, I see. Well, I do remember some old unfortunate event from playing online with a friend (the same from the Mohran video I showed) in the same room.

We were doing a capturing quest for Rathalos. We were both gunning it down because it preferred to never come down. Then it happens to faint us both in one shot of hot fireball. Yes, it happened, we were both in awe. Anyhoo, we eventually get back into the action and at one point I accidentally pressed the R-button near an edge you could jump off and this is where the game really took it up in the butt.

Rathalos has been weakened, the friend sets up a trap. Rathalos runs into it, but also tackles him in the process. Sure, no big deal, just throw the tranqui- OH, A BNAHABRA PARALYZED IT. The target breaks free from the trap and the paralyzing effect lives on. Rathalos shoots a damned fireball, but it misses. With this sliver of hope I regain stamina and hold the R-button some more. But the moment I jumped off that cliff it was already too late, I would not make it in time. Death met with Mr. Faint for another time (I think a Jaggi finished him...?) and we had just wasted about 20-25 minutes with the quest. It was so hilarious though considering all this series of events, but we obviously never got it recorded.

LordDynasty wrote:LOL at the video. I HATE HATE when stuff like that happens. I could feel your frustration when that tail whip hit you. DEM HITBOXES.

The tail's got a bigger hitbox than the hip check. *shot*

It was so bad, and I did not even notice the lowered downed fins so the accidental kill came as a surprise.

LordDynasty wrote:Man if I was to pop in MH1 right now. It would be glorious. Even more so If I could get back online. RED SERVER FTW.

Yesssh. If I ever happen to see a copy of it somewhere, I'll make sure to get it, even if just for keepsake. My MH game collection is not looking solid without it.

5th of April would be the closest date now if I want to settle down for a used copy of either PSP Go or 3000. Spended some money on UMvC3 and Xenoblade which has yet to ship so I'm trying to save up money now. =(

:Muggy edit:
So, here's the thing. We can either both pay a subscription fee for Frontier Online and play 'till our pads and fingers bleed out OR we wait either for me to get a PSP or you get the Portable 3rd HD for PS3. Which one sounds like the best option? I'm fine with any of these three options. I'm just interested in Frontier Online a whole lot right now, so yeah.

Those are some really neat mods! :O Interest in Skyrim has increased (by 5 %)!

If only fighting Deviljho was that easy. And the armor seems to be hella good too. Props to the creator of these. (y) So while the Skyrim people are enjoying the old monsters, I am enjoying something new.

A White Lagiacrus in 3G. You're welcome.

Could've been a bit shorter, but it ain't, so it's not. Hopefully it gives an idea about the subspecies, hindsight proved me that the Slash Axe is not the best option for hunting the monster, at least not alone. Still made it though.

My thoughts? Le copy-paste of the video description:
Spoiler: show
First encounter with a variation of the awesome "BUGAAH" leviathan, Lagiacrus. It's in the guild, so the hunt's taking a bit longer than it should be, especially with me doing so poorly in this video with the Slash Axe.

White Lagia is all about ground combat and just like the regular one, it can cover itself in electricity in a moment. Then it's got some long range thunder balls that can cover a wide area once made contact with the ground. And some pokes and a long-range, quick slide.

This thing's hella agile, I'll give it that. Not on the level of Nargacuga, but all the thunder it sends out is just as tough. If you can block, then the fight's considerably easier since you can just stay up in close for most of the time and block whenever White Lagi covers itself in electricity (not counting the thunder storm in rage mode). My fire type Slash Axe made from Uragaan materials cannot block, so I was having hard time here, just trying to get in and deal damage. Thankfully all wraps up within 30 minutes, so I guess it was worth something.

I'll have to see if the last set of village High Rank quests have one shot at this subspecies, I'd like to get some equipment from it.

And yes, the quality is balls because SD video camera but at least the sound is nice. Even if you watch a portion of this, I hope it gives a decent idea about this cool variation of Lagiacrus!

------------------
Also, I wasted a good 35 minutes with Daimyo Hermitaur in MH2. The village chief wanted me to take down one, so I thought I'd forge a Lance. The crab never died and my only options for healing were the three First-Aid Meds and the bed at the camp. It was a huge waste of time, since my weapon had no green sharpness and the minion monsters were all_over_me.
It was a really pointless struggle since my Velociprey armor likes to intake damage a good amount and every time I would unsheath-attack with the Lance the weapon bounced off. That moment I realised that I should just stick with Hammer for the time being.

I've been using the GS with bigger monsters recently. Kut-Ku was well too easy. I forgot the fun of the Kut-Ku, still one of my favorite monsters. Though I think I could take care of a Daimyo with DS (I've done it several times in FU), as long as the sharpness is good enough.

Yes, Bows were actually buffed in Portable 3rd. They got this arrow rain move which basically deals excellent damage, and there are few variations of it (two at very least). One version concentrates on one small spot and the other one covers a wider area.
I got myself Big Boss Snake (Blade AND Gunner) armor and some bows and basically breezed through the tougher High Rank quests. As if the Snake armor wasn't insult to injury enough (it's too good), the Constitution skill I gemmed in made my Bows real killers.

Having said that, I pretty much ruined the game for myself without realising it in time. Bows are easy mode. No question.

LordDynasty wrote:HE/SHE IS SO MUCH COOLER THEN REGULAR LAGIA. Plus dat new head whip lighting spew attack is epic.

I know, right?! It's a lot harder and the attacks look really cool. The white color really suits it.

I recently tried a fire type SnS on this and GOOD LORD. Did not break a single sweat and the monster was captureable before the 20-minute milestone. And considering it was the guild one (haven't encountered a village version yet), that's pretty damn good. Constant damage output and instant block if something came in my way? Yes please.

LordDynasty wrote:I see you have gotten quite used to the SA. It's a fun weapon. LOL you fall for his full body thunder a lot. :p

mmhmm. It's not the most exciting weapon out there, but it's certainly effective. Though without a shield that's what happens with quick omni-range moves like that. =P

I don't like it for the fact that I have to waste so much time just finding it without Psychoserums. If I'm not in the same area for five seconds it flies somewhere else and it's just a big waste of time and it bugs the crap out of me.

By Kirin's cheese, the revamped Azure Rathalos in MH3G is tough. The development team gave it some nasty aerial moves, like doing the poison claw from the air and having it go to the hovering mode right after it or doing quick poison claws from the hovering mode.
And let's not forget the aerial bite with flames tacked on and faster animations. Just the village version gave me enough trouble, but the Bracchidios Slash Axe killed it within 15 minutes. The guild version does not interest me so much at the moment... Maybe I'll try observe it's moves better. I mean, geez. 'twas tough, fighting it up close.

There's an event quest in Portable 3rd that has you hunt an Icy Agnaktor and an Icy Barroth. The catch? No melee weapons. Bowguns only. Tundra. The reward? Solid Snake camouflage for your felyne comrade(s), complete with the cardboard box. I've been preparing myself for that quest (an Akantor HBG with 40 % affinity, some High Rank Gunner armor as well), so if all goes well I solo it with the cameras rolling. When that will happen, I cannot give a rough estimate on that date.

Now excuse me, I must take my leave. My felyne needs me.

Yeah, it's good to take a break from hunting sometimes. No stories means we can focus on discussing other cool things, like...

....

Unknown Rathian and it's multiple levels of raaaaaaage? The music? Oh man, if nothing else came out of this series, it has got to be the music. Such wonderful orchestra spread everywhere. Everywhere. And some rearrangements are pretty good too.

LordDynasty wrote:So let me ask you oh gunner expert, whats a good Bow set against Plesioth?

I take that as a compliment.

I haven't studied Bows much in Freedom Unite so I cannot directly recommend you any, plus I don't know what weapons you could craft at the moment so you kinda have to look it up yourself. =(
I'd say get a Bow that has Pierce charging. Doesn't necessarily matter what level, just make sure you have that. Then fire or thunder element. If you can grab all that hotness, then pierce shot through it's head for nice damage.

If you go for Scatter shots though, that is where you might want to camp for maximum damage output. Or just shoot to it's side.

Yeah... almost feels like you could go through the majority of quests with just SnS and the right elementals. Maybe more on the easier side, but hey, the weapon class was pretty dominant in Freedom 1 as well, it just... didn't look as flexible. But they're there.

It's as if you could block everything with that shield, ain't it? I still don't get how you can block roars or Gypceros' flashes with it.

Weekends are ideal times for care-free-late-night-streaming. My time zone is GMT +2, so make of that what you will.

YEAH. THE ANTIDOTES. I ACTUALLY REMEMBERED THEM. TOOK SOME POISON TIP, BUT DID ALRIGHT. TICKED ME OFF REGARDLESS.

Got it I'll try and find a bow with Pierce and get the Ceantaur gunner set.

I have no schedule, I stream whenever. Best you follow my Twitter *coughlolselfpromotioncoughimmaoutcough*

Yo. My HBG's cool and all, but my three-page backpack is already stuffed as it is. I gemmed in some capture guru cold resistance so I wouldn't have to take hot drinks with me. T_T

Oh that's fine you can just be any old hunter and do it with hunter. It's fine. Hust saying all the COOL hunters do it without Armor..

When I heard that this theme going in Freedom 1, I felt like I had achieved something, had reached a goal or a milestone. It was special. And the theme's definitely good. And Portable 3rd's Yukumo Village? GOOD LORD.

Unknown Rathian's theme is full of despair filled epicness and it is one of my favourites for that very reason. If I ever find a high / OST quality of that composition... I am fangasming for the rest of the day.

Anyway, might record some Portable 3rd HD today. Maybe then there's more story time to be had.

So there has been little to none Monster Hunter in the past couple weeks, we just bought a bunch of new stuff, I got a new cell phone. Can't blame school work, because it's so easy it's hardly worth calling time consuming.

So anything new?

You mean those wyverns everyone has already hunted a hundred times over? :noworries

LordDynasty wrote:So anything new?

Oh, not really. I only failed the Bowgun event quest in MHP3rd big time, hunted some Nargacuga in 3G (got a new intro, quite bad-ass this time around) and... and... hmm, only got one quest level left in MH3G's village quests. The Ceadeus Subspecies is bound to show up there. No signs of White Lagia though, which slows down some of dat armor grinding.

So, about the Bowgun-exclusive event quest in MHP3rd. My Akantor HBG has like, 237 ATK and 40 % Affinity and that's without the Powercharms and Powertalons that were with me. It doesn't have many rounds for any kind of ammo and it's got some retarded recoil if LV2 & 3 Pierce shots are fired.

Guess what? It still takes more than 25 minutes to capture, let alone even have either Icy Barroth or Icy Agnaktor captureable. It didn't help how Icy Agnaktor followed me and Barroth everywhere. I was honestly speaking frustrated with that, so I'll try get some Silver Rathalos materials for a Light Bowgun, see if it goes any better.

Food for thought: Why the monsters in their introduction movies never beat up other monsters of their size instead of puny Kelbis? It would honestly create a lot better first impression for monsters like Tigrex if it beat up something like Blangonga prior your first hunt with it, giving this sense of the monster being stronger than what you have faced before it.

At least the ecology videos show some of that, Bracchidios taking Agnaktor down like a boss or Akantor whaling on Gravios. Now THAT was intimidating and awesome.

In other news, now I can't find / get any used PSP-3000s either. The last resort for PSP hunting would be PSP Go, but I wouldn't be able to afford for component recording cables until like, May and I'm a bit too attached to record some stuff from those games.

It hurts me to say this, but I might just go for Frontier Online with that said. I haven't paid any subscription fees yet, let alone updating the game but I don't see much of a better alternative here. : (

Has anyone played Gods Eater Burst?

I'm thinking of picking up a Monster Hunter-type game and am debating whether I should go with Gods Eater since I've been eyeing it for quite some time now, or just go with the franchise that started it all.

And if you do say Monster Hunter, which one? It would have to be the digital version, since I plan on putting it on my Vita.

I actually have that game... well, "have". PSP broken. <_<

Trying to give a non-bias point of view. Aaaand go:
God Eater's got a bit more flare and ease of gameplay when it comes to combat in comparison to Monster Hunter, but the latter in comparison is really good in most of other aspects. This is mostly because Freedom Unite -the last localised PSP MonHun game- has had like what, five years and four game updates before that whereas God Eater has had like... two years and one game before it.

So yeah, Monster Hunter's generally much more fleshed out than God Eater is. GE might have story and thus, more or less relatable characters but it's not too exciting otherwise. The difficulty at the start isn't much either in comparison to MH, make of that how you will. Also if you're into anime -styled approach then go for God Eater Burst.

There are Freedom 1, Freedom 2 and Freedom Unite on the PS Store (at least the EU one), but Freedom Unite is -as mentioned earlier- the newest one from the bunch, unless you count the Japan-exclusive Portable 3rd.

Bottom line, go for Freedom Unite and then go for God Eater Burst later.
Or vice versa. Or both, whatever floats your boat.

Never really noticed this. I know in the Ecology videos, like you pointed out, that they do. If I first walked out and saw a Tigrex take out a a Kut-ku mid flight a or kill a Blagonga It would have been quite intimidating, and really cool.

Yeah. PSP Gos are poor but better than the latest model of PSP which got rid of the WLAN aka multiplayer.

But I still thought I could use my money better (The used unit would've eaten 95 % of my current money), so I ordered Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. Call this an attempt to avoid PSP hunting, but I want to settle down for another copy of 3000 and I could not find any cheap. We'll see if next month brings anything new to the table about that.

So, G-rank status achieved in Monster Hunter 3G. Only had to take a Ceadeus Subspecies out. YES. CEADEUS CAN BE NOW TAKEN ON BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Nothing new at the first bunch of G-rank quests so far, but I'm sure it'll open up soon enough with the Rare Subspecieses and the Guran Miraosu Elder Dragon. Things are going to get real soon.

In other news I've started playing through MH1G aka MH Freedom 1 on PS2. After six hours or so (when I got my Bone "imba"-Lance) the game started to feel good again, even with the analog controls.
How is it possible to get a Lance with 236 of attack power and a huge chunk of green sharpness so early in the game?! I only recently cleared the Cephadrome urgent in the village and I already have the thing.

Well, all I really needed was small monster bones from Aptonoths and some iron ore. 'twas soooo dumb. But the game has been arguably much more fun since. :noworries
I just find it atrocious how there are minion monsters EVERYWHERE in large quantities. I suppose you can relate to this matter? :maybe

Mini-story time:
MH3G: I liked how Nargacuga slashed me off Area 7 to the water (Area 6) with me being stunned underwater.

Another mini-story time:
MH1G: A Genprey finished off one Gendrome for me in a Double Gendrome quest. Felt good.

Muggy edit:
Regarding Frontier Online, I have not been able to get the subscription fee going. The Capcom-Online Games cannot handle the transaction for whatever reason, it's not like I don't have Verified by Visa or anything. But yeah... Sucks.

Aww man. I tend to blame my lack of motivation to play MonHun recently on how lonely it is, even with my cat comrades.

Just wondering how does getting games in Finland work? You always seem to order your games rather than go to a local game store.

So, G-rank status achieved in Monster Hunter 3G. Only had to take a Ceadeus Subspecies out. YES. CEADEUS CAN BE NOW TAKEN ON BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Well that sounds fun. To bad there's no online for TriG.

Can you possibly record the Guren Miraosu fight I want to see what it looks like.

In other news I've started playing through MH1G aka MH Freedom 1 on PS2. After six hours or so (when I got my Bone "imba"-Lance) the game started to feel good again, even with the analog controls.

Isn't MHG the same as Monster Hunter one that was localized? And I know how you feel the analogs get easy after the first few quests.

How is it possible to get a Lance with 236 of attack power and a huge chunk of green sharpness so early in the game?! I only recently cleared the Cephadrome urgent in the village and I already have the thing.

That doesn't surprise me, MH1 was lenient in that kind of way. Especially for Iron Weapons, though never touched Iron Weapons in MH1, Bone Weapon Master Race.

Well, all I really needed was small monster bones from Aptonoths and some iron ore. 'twas soooo dumb. But the game has been arguably much more fun since.

You know I wouldn't be surprised if Aptonoths started a rebellion. We kill so many, and all they do is graze. Feels bad man.

I just find it atrocious how there are minion monsters EVERYWHERE in large quantities. I suppose you can relate to this matter?

It is the most dreadful thing. Whats even worse is you can't run away from them, you think you are far enough? Super Lunge, you go flying in front of a Daimyo as he powers up his Hydro Cannon as your character is helplessly groogy or stunned. You have fainted. Yeah happened to me once. I was so pissed.

Remember my MH2 Velocidrome quest? It was just a clusterf*ck of blue. Made it more intense though.

MH3G: I liked how Nargacuga slashed me off Area 7 to the water (Area 6) with me being stunned underwater.

LOLWUT?

MH1G: A Genprey finished off one Gendrome for me in a Double Gendrome quest. Felt good.

I know the feeling bro, I know it all to well. Perhaps we are of a higher species. Perhaps we are the Humandrome.

Regarding Frontier Online, I have not been able to get the subscription fee going. The Capcom-Online Games cannot handle the transaction for whatever reason, it's not like I don't have Verified by Visa or anything. But yeah... Sucks.

Welp there goes that idea. Hopefully a localiza- Ha yeah right.

and nothing came up. *tears* Will I ever see another English Monster Hunter? me thinks no.

also it has occurred to me that if we split up our posts we would have 10x the amount of pages, aren't we conservative?

HMM HMM. Image Let's do it.

LordDynasty wrote:Aww man. I tend to blame my lack of motivation to play MonHun recently on how lonely it is, even with my cat comrades.

Awwh. I've been personally putting some time into Xenoblade and that game if any game wants me to sit on the chair for long periods of time.

LordDynasty wrote:Just wondering how does getting games in Finland work? You always seem to order your games rather than go to a local game store.

Glad you took notice of this! Well, ordering games and going to a local store are both viable ways of getting games, ordering (new) games that get released around here is much cheaper than buying them from a store at launch. And the Japanese imports? Well, I suppose that is self-explanatory. : P

LordDynasty wrote:So I was disappointed when I heard captivate happened and I went on Youtube and put in "Monster Hunter Captivate 2012"

I would bet on the fourth one, because you know how western people redeem things like "Portable 3rd" and "3G" rip-offs. The fourth one would have geniounly new content for all of us. Image

LordDynasty wrote:Welp there goes that idea. Hopefully a localiza- Ha yeah right.

Heheh. Some people have managed to get the subscription fee, so I wouldn't rule it out completely just yet.

LordDynasty wrote:Isn't MHG the same as Monster Hunter one that was localized? And I know how you feel the analogs get easy after the first few quests.

Yeah, MH1G is essentially Monster Hunter Freedom on PSP, with the former being Japan-exclusive.

I'd think it would cost more to order them.

Yep hopefully there will be a home console port at that time. Like the PS3.

Yeah, MH1G is essentially Monster Hunter Freedom on PSP, with the former being Japan-exclusive.

So why not just play western release? It's the extra blood isn't it?
I also heard you could cut off a Rathlos/ian's head in the Jap version...

Consider them followed.

LOL saw that on MH podcast not to long ago :p

So whats new in monster hunting for you, as of right now I just look at my turned off PSP and then walk away.

Some game stores in our country have separate stocks on a neighbourhood land on Åland Islands with games ordered there being tax-free, which cuts a nice chunk off the prices. So for example, a new game would usually be 60 € in Finland, but bam, it can be 37 € if ordered from Åland. Hella nice.

LordDynasty wrote:Yep hopefully there will be a home console port at that time. Like the PS3.

A friend of mine pointed out today how Capcom would've been able to update the existing Tri game with the new monsters if the game was structured that way and saved some costs with no retail copies or anything. Do you agree with this or do you agree with this?

LordDynasty wrote:So why not just play western release? It's the extra blood isn't it?

Because I do not have a PSP as of this writing, you silly. :maybe

To be honest, I don't care much about the blood in it although it does look unnecessarily overwhelming at times.

LordDynasty wrote:I also heard you could cut off a Rathlos/ian's head in the Jap version...

.....................................

You know, I don't even want to imagine how that is possible. I can only imagine it even being there in like, the initial Japanese release of the first MH game. If I ever come across this in MH1G, I will definitely let you know.

LordDynasty wrote:So whats new in monster hunting for you, as of right now I just look at my turned off PSP and then walk away.

Awwww. : (

Well, 3G progress looking nice at the moment.
Spoiler: show
Acquired myself some Nargacuga weapons (Longsword and Lance) and dude. The amount of affinity in the Longsword one(s) is NUTS. 30 % on an upgraded High Rank Narga LS. I'm not kidding. It's like G-Quests are still High Rank quests. Yeah, it does that much damage. I think it's got blue sharpness and nice attack power too, 4xx something, I don't remember it at the moment.

Right now I am just collecting G-rank armor sets to get more out of the game. Green Plesioth could be fought at Flooded Forest too.

Portable 3rd, well... I am basically getting myself the Nargacuga weapons there as well. : P Not really playing it at the moment, but I've been playing some MH3 online. I'm not sure if I have the energy to grind all the points... seriously, the guild quest system in the portable games are infinitely much better.

Don't want to grind more quests than you have to? Then don't. You might have harder time in later quests though with the lack of materials, but you can keep going. Want to get the most out of the current quest level? Then freaking do so, hunter. We ain't restricting your way of hunting, feel free to gather any equipment you want before the next level of -harder- quests.

The way Tri handles this? "Have fun grinding the same old missions over and over again just to do it again." And there's no after-game baits. At all. And that if anything sucks.

Alright, enough with the ranting. More with... Svensson keeping y'all warm.
http://www.siliconera.com/2012/04/20/capcom-usa-say-youll-see-whats-going-on-with-monster-hunter-tri-g/

MH3G localisation confirmed? I would pose an optimistic attitude towards this year's E3.

Also, Japan's getting more Felyne games. Enter Super Felyne Puzzle Fighter.
