So people who play tekken chars will just have 2 buttons that do nothing? Well nothing new for console stick players as they already have 8 buttons. 4 for playing and 4 to mash on and confuse the other guy into thinking you're doing something.

What will that mean for SF characters? Are they going to have any Tekken-style moves, or are they just going to have a few normal ones and some specials? Having two different button styles might cause a bit of a mess.

Nah... ofc Tekken chars wont have 2 empty buttons we'll still get usual controls 4 + shifts for bindings. it's all just about notation. 5 and 6 buttons on SF characters will have the same mechanics as Tekken's 1+2\3+4 and called "heavy attaks" just to be more comfortable for SF players.

I think it is an incredibly innovative idea to keep both sides comfortable while playing the game their used to in a "cross the line" sort of way...gonna be looking for news on this game now.

I don't think it's right to do that, Tekken characters were made to have 6 buttons and fight in SF style (with a few tweaks) in SFxT so why not do the same sort of thing in TxSF, having it completely in Tekken style but adding a few things over from SF like projectiles and EX moves?
