So, I see the game will be released in September now. Some people have been thinking the release date was going to be in December it's nice to see the release date will be a few months earlier than that. I can't wait. I'll probably be pre-ordering the game.

I can already tell you this. Xiaoyu's face animation looks stunning in Tekken Hybrid.

Which is strange, because off the top of my head I can't think of any major "Holiday's" in September. [shrug]

Seeing as the last big trailer said "Holiday 2012" I can only imagine they reevaluated how long it would take.

Once again, about the whole thing regarding if the footage from the trailer was arcade or console...(Sorry I have to prove myself)

As you can see in 0:17 the life bars are a little lower in the screen than arcade (Usually how it happens from arcade to consoles in Tekken games), and in the bottom corners the small icons from the arcade versions aren't there.
So I finally proofed myself right! That WAS arcade footage from the "Double trouble video". [mallet]

And if I'm not mistaking the life bars do look a little gray.... But it could be from the camera since it's a little too bright, but who knows?...

The game was set on "Console" Display type; that's why the life bars were that tiny. Maybe, when they set the game on "Arcade" display type, the arcade icons appear (mainly because they may forgot to remove them). Where is the point of having a console trailer showing arcade footage?

btw, the lifebars are blue; the video is too bright (compare it with the stage).

(1) Who knows, maybe that was true maybe that wasn't... :maybe

(2) Well, it could be cause they made the trailer before they started working on the console version, or they were busy working on the console version they made the trailer with some footage they got earlier...

Anyway, I just wanted to prove myself as I said before.
I'm still excited for the game either way. :yay

If they didn't have console footage, then why release the trailer? They could just wait until they had one; but that's not the case since the Arcade mode for consoles is 100% completed since a week ago [melvin]

Boooo! [thumbsdown] I certainly hope they're planning something epic for the actual artwork, because the current design art was the best one in a while for this series.

^ I liked the box art.
Where people mad cause it didn't have Kazuya or Jun on it?

Ok, I could have sworn that I saw an article in which Harada wanted to add 22 more characters to the console version, like adding a 3rd row in the select screen.

LandscapeManX posted...
yeah there was something in an interview where he said; did you see the (???don't know where???) space in the character select screen of the console demo, you can imagine that we are adding a lot more characters to the console.

But the console will have 50+ not 60+ characters...
lets see how many old/clone/side characters we got:

1. Kunimitsu
2. Michelle
3. Dr.Boskonovitch
4. Prototype Jack
5. Combot - Seen in TTT2 Fight Lab
6. Human Ogre
7. Unknown
8. Alex
9. Roger
10. Forest Law
11. Tiger Jackson
12. Miharu
13. Violet - Seen in TTT2 Fight Lab
14. Devil
15. Angel
16. Crow (Generic Tekken Force Soldier) - Seen in TTT2 Fight Lab
17. Dr.Abel (Dr.B's rival, evil scientist)
18. Tougou (From T6 Campaign, Lars' friend)
19. Sebastian (Lili's Butler)
20. Giant Praying Mantis (Was never Added to T3)
21. Jane (works for G-Corp & is Jack-# owner/friend)
22/23. Azazel & NANCY-MI847J (too big imo)
24. Tetsujin (Steel version of Mokujin)
25. Jin T3 (Mishima Fighting style, aka Devil Jin)
26/27/28. King1, Armor.King1, Kuma1
29/30/31/32. Jack, Jack-2, Gun Jack, Jack 5
33. Ho Chi Myong (Eddy's Master, Christie's grandfather)
34. Feng's Master
35. Gon

10 new characters is already hard to imagine, let alone 22.

I Hope The Box Art Doesnt Have Lili On It Better Be A Tekken Legend On Their Like King,Nina,Paul,Kazuya,Jun,Michelle,Yoshimitsu,Ect.....That Would Be A Great Box Art But Knowing Tekken's Little Obsession With Lili She's Bound To Be On The Cover :l

I liked the art box too; the black/white contrast with red and blue sparkles is awesome! But they're going to add the console exclusive characters to the box art; that's why that's not the final one lol.

This is the interview:

Begins at 01:32

As you can see, the character select screen has a new |11|?|11| characters row at the top.

10 would be ok, but I recall reading that Harada said something like: "oh, do you see that panel? that's where we plan to put the new characters" or something like that...

Too excited for the Xbox version? :P
I thiught you were getting it for the PS3,
Anyway, I hope they release a private beta for the very active people on the PS3, that way they can test out the new stages and characters and modes to make sure they work porperly, since the 44 current characters have been tested in the arcades.
