Xiaoyu definitely has the most mobile fighting style, so she's gotta be the fastest one. Lars and Nina (with her high multi-strings) are the other fast ones. Law and Alisa are very fast too, but don't really see that an advantage as an opponent when playing with Xiaoyu.. Also, Anna was clearly the fastest in Tekken 3

And LOL at Asuka being a fast character. She isn't, she just has a mediocre speed. And Nina is not fast, she just has a normal speed.

lars is only fast because of silent and dynamic entry , besides azazel's stun is UNAVOIDABLE EXCEPT IF YOU ARE 4 STEPS AWAY FROM HIM

In my opinion Lars, Lee, and Maybe Alisa. I'm not counting steve because too me he seems incredibly slow as hell. and Hwoa Is not even the picture to me. And Dynamic and Silent Entry to happen to be a part of Lar's Element of being fast, and put those in a chain of moves can be devastating depending on what chain your doing. and yes sometimes the extra moves Lars throws in can be a weak point. But, Eh it's my theory though.

When we talk about speed at Tekken, there may be several characters that get in our thinking.
Lars is (obviously) one of the characters with the faster attacks. Bob is really fast aswell, and I would quote Lili, Steve and Lee aswell.
All of those players can be really dangerous, if you know how to use their speed.

I agree with Lars and Steve to be among the fastest characters. Like Lars in T6 BR, Bob was ridiculously fast in T6 too.
But I think Lili is just a spammer (still an exciting character nonetheless), and speed is not really an explanation for her being a high tier. Xiaoyu is definitely the fastest and she's designed to have speed at her advantage (against her low impact blows).

There are no "fast" or "slow" characters in Tekken. Everyone has roughly the same speed attacks anyway.

Nah they're "slower" alright. Those small 1-2 frame differences have noticeable effects in the end. Marduk and Bryan coming to mind first.

I don't see why Jack is considered slow by most people... He is actually surprisingly normal, and yes, Marduk is one of the slowest characters I had to experience, Ganryu is a tiny bit slower than the others, but the point is, if you master the character it won't be "slow" or "fast" in your vision.

Well...

-first of all Jacks jab is i11, which is a frame slower than what most chars have.
-No pokes. His d/f+1 has bad frames on block so he cant use it to poke like other characters so you're left with that i16 or so f,f+1, which comes out even slower unless you perfectly buffer it. Altough that one has bad frames too but the pushback is good and it does nice damage.
-Has to rely on a i15, -14 on block d/f+2 for a panic button.

Of course all characters have something that is i10 and some relatively fast mids. But a character becomes "slow" when those faster moves are kind of ass and you cant rely on them.

Jack's really good though. It's not much of an issue in most matchups.

I consider that more a statement on the pace of their neutral game, not really their speed. It's more about what the player is doing, rather than just about the character. Technically speaking, like I said, no one is really "slow" or "fast."
