Tekken Snake Pit Event
We
are back!
The next Snake Pit 3 on 3 event is on the 8th of August. It will be even BETTER than the 'tester' we did in June. I hope the teams have been practising to take the title/money this time round from the infamous Power/Perception/Punishment and Why Would you do that? teams..
The Address
http://hoxton-shoreditch.london.myvillage.com/place/el-paso-london
You basically get to Old Street station (northern line for people travelling by Underground) and get out of 'Exit 2'. Keep walking straight down Old Street for like 5mins and the venue El Paso is on your right. Again if anyone has problems finding it contact any of the usual suspects (specially Chef) for further details.
The Date/Time
8th of August 2010, it starts promptly at 1pm. If players wish. They may arrive at 12:30 and get some minor casual matches in before the MMs/grudge matches kick off at 1pm. We will also break for 45mins at 6pm so people may go out n get some air, have some late lunch/early dinner or do whatever. All consoles will be turned OFF during this point and everyone will be asked to leave aside from staff members so we can prepare for the final part of the event.
The Rules
More rules will be added to this during the next couple of days but I will put down the fundamental requirements for the tournament to function.
1. All teams must consist of 3 members. It is advisable you have a 4th member (a sub) just incase one of you can not make it. If all of you INCLUDING the sub make it that day, the sub member only pays £5 instead of the full £10 as he is only there for casuals and back up incase something happens.
2. We have also decided to make it an ongoing league/RB now. However, the team points will be reset every 4 months. This is because if a new team decides to join in the 3 months its almost impossible for them to catch up to a team that has attented all the events so far. The team with the most points/wins after 4 months gets a major prize. More detail will be given to the winning team.
3. Players are allowed to use whatever pad or stick they desire. You can also configure your buttons as you wish. This is to make pad/stick players more comfortable so theres no arguements about performance. However, it is required each team has a 'captain who is responsible for all the goings on of the team. He or she is required to have a ps3/360 pad cable so nobody is asking others to borrow theirs.
4. The staff WILL be communicating with team captains throughout the events. This is minimise confusion amongst everyone. So for example, the team captain can pay on behalf of the team by collecting their entry fee and giving it to Masamune (Inti) or the door attendant before the even starts. Its quicker and more organised.
5. It will be a group stage then knockout stage. Depending on the amount of teams that turn up, the groups will be in 2s or 4s (so either 2 groups of 6 teams or 4 groups of 4 teams). From the quarter finals it is knockouts meaning single elim.
6. There is NO Tekken 6 bgm allowed whatsoever during the event. So all machines will be set to bgm music OFF! We have an appointed Dj that will be spinning tracks allday throughout the event. Plus expect some more special exhibition PAs on the day for extra enjoyment.
7. There is NO food or drink allowed from outside into El Paso. Anyone caught break this rule will most likely be thrown out by the bouncer/doorman.
8. Entry fee for participants is £10 per player nd £5 for casual player/spectators. All the money gets saved and most of it goes to the winning team at the end of each season.
9. You MUST have fun, mingle and enjoy yourselves above all else whilst taking it seriously and looking to improve and **** up ANYBODY standing in your way. This is rule i hold dearest to me as i think its one of the most important ones.
10. Minimum teams is 8 and maximum teams is 16. Put your teams down NOW to avoid disappointment.
Just post your names on here along with your individual names (eg Power/Perception/Punishment - Luna, Cobra Commander & Starscream) and i will put you guys down.
Ok people,
You hear the war horn, time to take heads on the battlefield! Good hunting..
